The Role of Bath BID

BUILDING ON 15 YEARS OF SUCCESS

Bath Business Improvement District (BID) has played a pivotal role in shaping a vibrant, resilient, and welcoming city centre.

COLLECTIVE INVESTMENT

The purpose of the BID is to manage collective business investment from its levy payers to enhance the city experience for visitors, workers and residents.

Working collaboratively through the BID, businesses have seen measurable improvements in cleanliness, safety, marketing and business support, ensuring Bath remains a brilliant place to run a business.

CHAMPIONING BUSINESS INTERESTS

The BID’s vision is that Bath will continue to be a vibrant place for investment, commercial opportunity, employee satisfaction and customer appeal, ensuring the city’s success for many years to come.

“My favourite thing about the Bath BID is that they are proactive in driving a positive, creative, and welcoming city, using innovative events and community led initiatives.” ~ Jess Merritt-Johns, Chair of Bath BID and General Manager of Jolly’s

“The work the Bath BID does to promote safety in the night time economy is invaluable. Alongside the safety training they run venues in the city, the Safe Bus has become essential in keeping thousands of people who enjoy Bath’s night life safe. ” ~ Adrian Boreham, Komedia

“The Bath BID is a conduit between the businesses and larger organisations within the city. They are very important, up-to-date information gatherers, who always pick up the phone in a time of need! By working together, we get things done.” ~ Franco Mancini, The Podium

The work of the Bath BID has transformed the city of Bath, creating a vibrant and welcoming experience to visitors, residents and people who work here. We have delivered an extensive programme of projects and campaigns on behalf of the business community to make Bath a better place to do business.
