The Bath Business Improvement District (BID) is an independent, not-for-profit business-led company working to provide the environment for businesses in Bath to succeed.
The Bath BID is one of 328 BIDs across the UK and Ireland, which collectively deliver over £130 million of investment and improvement into towns and city centres. Find out more about BIDs here.
Bath BID was established in 2011. Following a renewal ballot in 2015, the Bath BID was given the mandate to continue working in the city for a further five years, and a second renewal ballot in 2021 secured the BID’s contract until 2026.
The BID’s initiatives in the city are funded by the Levy Payers who pool their resources via an annual contribution based on their rateable value. To find out if you are a Levy Payer, you can search in our business directory.
Let us know how we are doing by coming along to our annual AGM, Spring Meeting or catch one of the team at our monthly Safe and Secure Meetings or bimonthly Town Traders Meetings.
Voluntary Levy Payers
As well as Levy Payers, we also work with several smaller businesses in the city that choose to participate. These are known as Voluntary Levy Payers. For more information about becoming a Voluntary Levy Payer, please get in touch.
