Over the past few weeks, footfall in the city has been steady, but declined slightly after the initial excitement when retailers first reopened. We are really pleased that the next phase of reopening is beginning on Monday, and we will see you all inside the pub – if we don’t see you at our Town Traders’ Meeting on Tuesday.

There are lots of ways to get involved in the city’s reopening, from joining your friends and colleagues at a Bath Festival event, to planning your Summer Sundays in June, July and August. We are delighted to see the sun out again this afternoon, especially as the BID Rangers have been out and about planting up floral displays in the city centre.

The most important project to update you on is Safe and Secure Bath, our new Business Crime Reduction Partnership. Nick and the team will be out and about collecting in the old Nightwatch radios in preparation for the new scheme launch in June. We will be contacting other businesses over the next couple of weeks to see if they would like to join the scheme.

It will be completely free for Levy Payers to become a member of the Crime Reduction Partnership. If you wish to have a radio to contact the new security team or the CCTV offices, you will be able to hire it through us for £2.50 a week. For those businesses who were previously paying a BID levy and a Business Crime Reduction Partnership membership fee, this will be a significant reduction in costs. Watch out for more details next week!

As always, if there is any way the Bath BID can support you during this time, please contact us by calling 01225 430640, or emailing info@bathbid.co.uk.
