Bath is set to sparkle even more this festive season, thanks to the Bath Business Improvement District (Bath BID). Additional lights have been installed across the city centre, bringing warmth, joy and a magical glow to Bath’s streets.
“All year round, we’re committed to making Bath a welcoming and vibrant place for everyone. At Christmas, that means lighting up areas that feel a little darker, ensuring the city feels safe, inviting, and full of festive cheer,” said Allison Herbert, Chief Executive of Bath BID.
This year, Bath BID has expanded its portfolio of decorations by draping the trees along Southgate Street and New Orchard Street with sparkling lights. The project was made possible with the generous support of Costa Coffee Southgate, who partnered with Bath BID to bring extra festive magic to the heart of the city.
“Christmas is all about those little moments that bring us together, and we’re proud to support an event that celebrates just that. As a long-standing part of the Bath community, we’re delighted to sponsor this year’s Christmas Lights to help make the festivities shine even brighter. It’s a wonderful occasion that truly captures the spirit of the season,” said Neil Meredith of Costa Coffee.
In addition to Southgate Street and New Orchard Street, Bath BID has also illuminated several key locations across the city centre, including Union Passage, Northumberland Place, North Parade Passage, Bath Abbey, Westgate Street, and Cheap Street.
