Valdespino Wine Dinner
Wednesday 20th June 2018 at 7.30pm
Join us for a spectacular evening including a specially crafted four-course menu celebrating the best of the Valdespino winery, one of the oldest in the renowned sherry-making region of Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia, Spain.
Valdespino is one of the oldest wineries in Jerez, if not the oldest. Its history dates back to the 13th century when King Alfonso X rewarded the knight Alfonso Valdespino for his help in liberating Jerez from the Moors. Valdespino was given a parcel of vineyards and started making wine. The region went on to become one of the few in the world where you can experience the range of flavours in their wines from minerally dry and fresh to lusciously sweet.
Ignacio Lopez de Carrizosa, the Director of Export for Valdespino will take you on a journey to discover the versatility and complexity of each wine, perfectly matched to a delicious four-course menu especially created by Executive Chef, Michael Nizzero. (This dinner will also include the chance to try Michael’s Award Winning Copa Jerez pairing dessert!)
The event includes:
- Arrival drink with canapés at 7.30pm
- Talk from Valdespino guest speaker, Ignacio Lopez de Carrizosa
- A four-course meal at 8.00pm
- Matching wine flight to accompany each course
- Coffee and petit fours
£95 per person
