CYCLE OF LIGHTS

Have you spotted the Cycle of Lights in Bath this week? Have a look. It’s near Russell & Bromley at the base of Milsom Street and lots of people are having fun trying it out.

The Cycle of Lights is an innovative art installation, harnessing bike power to activate an LED light display. Brought to you by the Bath Business Improvement District (BID), it has been created by artist Anita Westmoreland working with expert local engineers and installation companies Showsafe and Momentum.

The festive lights are activated by the pedalling power of the public who will sit on the four British-made Pashley Cycles to create a colourful illuminated spectacle. No particular skill is required, just enthusiasm and a bit of energy.

The Cycle of Lights will be active 4-8pm every day until 22 December. The BID hopes to bring a festival of light to the city in the winter of 2020, working with the creative team at Bath Festivals.
