A message from the Avon and Somerset Constabulary:
On Sunday 11th November 2018 a Military Remembrance Day Parade will take place in the City of Bath. There will be a parade at the war memorial on Queens Parade in the morning.
There will then be a march through the Centre which will start at New Bond Street then march to Bath Abbey. To support the event, Avon and Somerset Constabulary will be working with Bath & North East Somerset Council to ensure the safety of all those attending.
As part of this operation I would request your assistance in the following ways:
In the run up to the event please be alert to anything unusual or out of place. If you are unsure then please contact a member of the Local Neighbourhood Policing Team or dial 101. If there is
an immediate concern then contact the Police on 999.
If you are a business and normally place any bins, advertising boards or other furniture on the pavement, then please avoid doing so between 0600hrs – 1600 hrs.
Be aware that on the day of the event there will be a great reduction in available bicycle parking in the city centre, so if you or your employees use these facilities, please make alternative arrangements for this date only.
If you are a local resident, please do not place bins at the front of your property between the hours of 09.00-16.00.
If you have any other questions in relation to this then please contact a member of the Bath City Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team.
Thank you for your assistance and co-operation in this matter.
