The key to the success of Bath as a leisure, business and shopping destination is effective promotion of the city’s offering. It is also important to deliver an ongoing programme of quality events and activities which serve to attract visitors. Working closely with our partners, the BID has been instrumental in delivering a programme of successful promotions and events.
Between 2012-2015, the Bath BID Company is working with Bath Tourism Plus and Visit England to secure annual funding as part of the Regional Growth Fund. This collaboration enables the city to have a £1M promotion fund until 2015. This fund supports the Bath BID objectives, which are to have three seasonal campaigns per year to attract shoppers and visitors to Bath. Spring (in conjunction with Bath In Fashion), Autumn (in conjunction with the Great Bath Feast) and Christmas (bringing together the numerous events to showcase).
A group of businesses meet monthly as the Bath BID Marketing Group to steer this work and ensure the money is spent effectively to give a return for business in Bath.
