Deep Clean Gallery
The BID Rangers have now become a familiar site on the streets of Bath. As well as providing practical support to businesses they perform a highly physical role, reassuring visitors that the city is well organised and managed.
Over April and May 2012, the BID Rangers have been up early deep cleaning the Southgate and Stall Street areas with their new jet wash machine. Reaching temperatures of 88 degrees, this hot jet wash removes dirt, in particular chewing gum, resulting in a dramatic improvement to the pavements.
Paul Shillam, store manager at Marks & Spencer in Bath:
'The deep clean has made a big difference, it is very noticeable. With the level of street trading that now takes place, the clean has helped to remove the dirt and grime that is left behind'.
