Bath Tourism Plus

Bath Tourism Plus is the organisation tasked with marketing the World Heritage site of Bath and the surrounding area.

Using a variety of media, including online marketing, PR and partnership working, Bath Tourism Plus formulates targeted marketing campaigns to bring the destination to the attention of a national and international audience.

 

Bath Tourism Plus works in conjuction with Future Bath Plus and Bath BID on a variety of projects, including the promotion of Shopping In Bath, The Public Event Panel and the Bath Travel Guide.

 

As well as its consumer marketing activities, Bath Tourism Plus also operates a conference marketing and booking service and group travel marketing .  It also is responsible for the operation of Bath Tourist Information Centre, which as one of the most visited in the Country, welcomes over 500,000 visitors each year.

 

To attract further visitors to Bath and the surrounding area, Bath Tourism also supports a number of events, as well as operating the extremely popular, annual Bath Christmas Market. 

 

The organisation operates a Membership scheme, which brings together the local authority and over 420 businesses - including accommodation providers, attractions, retailers, tour operators and activity providers.  The main aim of Bath Tourism Plus is to attract visitors in order to support businesses in the destination.

 

For tourism businesses in Bath and the surrounding areas, Bath Tourism Plus offers a host of marketing opportunities.  These include (among many others) presence on the official destination website www.visitbath.co.uk, preferential advertising rates in the Bath Visitor Guide (distribution 80,000+) and inclusion in marketing campaigns where appropriate.  Members also benefit from an online, over the counter and telephone booking service (for accommodation providers), regular industry updates and networking opportunities.
